Yet again, the Nissan and Mitsubishi Meet and Show was a big success this year. The event was held at Olympia Nissan in Olympia, Washington on the 8th of September. Even though Washington is known for its less than ideal weather, the day was nearly as good as it gets in the Pacific Northwest. It was around eighty degrees and sunny all day.

It was so hot during the day that the fresh tar on the pavement overheated which caused the bottoms of everyone's shoes to turn black. Occasionally, a shoe could be seen sticking to the tar. It was a great turnout and all of us that came down from Whatcom and Skagit county were excited to be there.
All of the sponsors came together to make sure that this event was fun for everyone in attendance. The NOS ladies supplied all of the guests with swag and energy drinks and Dickey's Barbeque Pit provided sandwiches and potato salad. Sinematiks managed to get people dancing and singing along to the recent hit song “Gangnam Style.” A rally simulator was set up by ERS (Evo RallySport) inside of the Nissan dealership. There were also RC drift cars outside courtesy of Mikey Brown and Erich Hagen.
There were a total of nine 1st and 2nd place trophies awarded and multiple raffles throughout the day. All 85 cars entered into the show were judged by: Cody Garvin, Nate Overson, Angie Thomson, Allison Drake, Paul Valencia, Jacob Johnson, and guest judges Scott Kovalik & Myles Kerr.
This has become an annual event that I will continue to look forward to every summer. Thanks to Russell Moore for organizing such a great event.
