For the last five years, Mike Tolliver from Happenstance Event Productions has hosted The Old School Reunion in the Seattle, WA area. This is Mike’s longest running event and every year it continues to draw in a wide variety of cars from all over the northwest. Just like last year, the event was held at Country Village in Bothell, WA.

After attending the event for the first time, I can see why Country Village was chosen as the venue for this unique event. It’s the perfect place to showcase classic import and European cars. The meet is held in the grass to the side of the old style shops which creates a completely different atmosphere from what most of us are used to.
There was an abundance of clean AE86’s this year which just about everyone seemed to be taking pictures of.
Keeping with the upbeat and friendly atmosphere, the organizers held a Twinkie eating contest and a tug of war between the Japanese and European owners. From what I read on Facebook, the Euro group ended up beating the JDM guys.
It was an awesome event and I’m really glad that I was able to attend this year. Mike mentioned that they locked down an indoor venue for another Old School Reunion style event in November. I’m hoping that this ends up happening as we can always use more of these types of car meets/shows in the northwest.
