The skies were clear and the track was already hot as the grandstand gates opened up to spectators on September, 10 2016 – a Saturday afternoon. DriftCon Afterdark is staged to progression through the evening with a plethora of sights and sounds to keep any auto enthusiast entertained.
The fourth round of the Evergreen Drift ProAm Championship took place on Sunday, August 28 on the infamous 5/8th’s bank. While the majority of the season takes place on variations of the smaller 3/8th’s oval, twice per year they choose to compete on the same layout as the Formula Drift Pro competition.
Northwest drifters returned to Evergreen Speedway on July 17th for the third round of competition in the 2016 EVD ProAm Series. As the season and standings continue to develop, we’re starting to get a picture of who the top drivers are this year.
In the early morning hours of a sunny Saturday morning, drivers and crew started to arrive at Evergreen Speedway for DriftCon 2016. In the months leading up to the event, it was shaping up to be quite the show.
2016 marks the seventh year of the Evergreen Drift ProAm competition. Drivers will be battling it out all season long in hopes of earning their coveted Formula Drift Pro2 license on their way to becoming a Pro driver.
