By the time November rolls around in the Pacific Northwest, car meets are few and far between. The meet I attended last Saturday was held at Griot’s Garage in Tacoma, WA and it was organized by NW CARRIERS.

Every year, SEMA picks four vehicles that they feel are the best platform to modify and design parts for. The four categories are Hottest Sport Compact, Hottest Car, Hottest Truck, and Hottest 4×4/SUV. Each is typically awarded to new vehicles or vehicles that have received a significant update. 2 years ago, SEMA created the award for Hottest Sport Compact and as most of you know, import cars fall into this category. Last week, a small group of Import Meet members and I had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the 2012 SEMA show. This was my first time at the show it was by far the largest event I have ever been to. In this post, I will be sharing what I felt were the best vehicles at this year’s SEMA show. From time to time, a game or movie comes along that is so ingrained in the import automotive culture that we feel the need to review it for our readers. Here is my take on Forza Horizon. Over the last few years the amount of free time that I devote to playing games has been reduced. I still try to make time for quality games when they are released but I typically don't buy racing games. It's not because I don't enjoy them but more that it takes so much time to develop the skills to feel good at them.…
The most difficult part to source for the swap up until this point has been the T56 transmission. T56 transmissions are typically found in LS1-powered Camaros and Firebirds (along with many other sports cars). They are a 6-speed manual transmission capable of handling over 450 lb-ft of torque in stock trim. Since so many cars are being swapped with LSX engines nowadays (including hot rods and other classic cars) they tend to be extremely sought after. Local sellers know the scarcity of them and try and charge a premium for high mileage used transmissions.
Amazing things happen when creative minds come together. NWMotiv.com and Evergreen Drift decided to end the automotive event season in the Pacific Northwest by hosting one of the most ambitious events the region has seen in years. On September 29, 2012 inMotion Car Show and Drift Event was held at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. Photos by TK Akiyama, Ryan Cutuli, and Robert Bishop. Article by Matt Haugness.
Last Saturday, V-LEDS put the finishing touches on their new retail location and opened their warehouse facility for us to use for our End of Summer Car Show. Since the show was being held at the end of the summer and V-LEDS specializes in lighting products, we decided to start the show in the evening so that it would be dark by the end of the event.
