Yet again, the Nissan and Mitsubishi Meet and Show was a big success this year. The event was held at Olympia Nissan in Olympia, Washington on the 8th of September. Even though Washington is known for its less than ideal weather, the day was nearly as good as it gets in the Pacific Northwest. It was around eighty degrees and sunny all day. In my last update, I showed the fuel system on the RX-7. In this post I’m going to go over nearly everything I have done to get to the point of starting the engine. It’s going to be a big update and I guarantee it’s been worth the wait! With the engine sitting in the engine bay supported by the front mounts and a wooden block, Matt from Secondbolt Racing and I decided it was a good idea to start the engine to make sure there wasn’t anything catastrophically wrong with it. Even though it had been inspected and everything…
At the end of July, an opportunity to hold a car show in Auburn, WA came to our attention. With a little over a month to organize and promote the show, it was unknown how large it was going to be. Our main sponsor, Top Food and Drug on Auburn Way, was willing to let us use a good portion of their lot for most of the day which meant that 150 spots were available for car show participants. By the Thursday before the show, all 150 spots were filled by online registrations.
EVD 80 "Mission Accomplished" was held on August 26, 2012 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. Stakes were high at this event since this was the last round of the EVD local drift competition for 2012. Surprisingly, the tension amongst drivers seemed to be minimal. All of the competitors were out on the track squeezing in every minute of seat time possible for one reason – they love the sport.
For many enthusiasts the R33 Skyline is still one of the most beautiful cars ever produced in Japan. Even as new models are developed and older ones are updated, the clean lines and unique design elements of Skylines continue to make them stand out from most other cars on the road. Eric had wanted an R33 for years and when the opportunity came to own one nearly 4 years ago he had to jump on it. His first priority on the build was to focus on performance rather than try to change its appearance (something he was already happy with).…
When the FT-86 concept was unveiled last year at the New York International Auto Show, I was skeptical as to whether or not the production model would look anything like the concept. The concept car was edgy, sleek, and sexy – everything it should be. I was ecstatic when I saw the first shots of the production version of the Scion FR-S. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Scion says that "FR-S" stands for Front-engine Rear-wheel-drive Sport. Even though the FR-S isn't the first car to be created with all three of these attributes, they decided it…

What started as a small drive to Mt. Baker every year has continued to grow over the years. 3 years ago, a few friends and I decided to promote a drive to Mt. Baker. It was fairly small but around 10-15 cars joined our group of friends. The second year, ImportMeet.com sponsored and promoted the event and we had over 60 cars attend. Since the weather last year was so horrible we decided to pick a date later in July this time. We couldn't have picked a better day than the 28th. Over 100 cars joined us for our drive…
